Working with TruAlign

TruAlign Partners is a specialized executive search and talent advisory firm focused exclusively on commercial-stage medical device and MedTech companies. We recruit the sales, marketing, clinical, and executive leaders responsible for adoption, revenue growth, and market expansion — and we evaluate every candidate through our proprietary CarbonCore methodology.

Most firms identify candidates, conduct interviews, and submit resumes. We begin by defining what success looks like in the role before the search starts, engage high-value candidates through targeted outreach campaigns rather than job postings, and evaluate every finalist through a structured, multi-layer assessment. The result is an evidence-based hiring decision — not a stack of resumes.

We focus on small to mid-size MedTech, medical device, and healthcare technology companies — particularly those in commercialization and growth stages. This includes venture-backed firms, companies preparing for product launches, organizations entering new markets, and businesses scaling revenue operations.

Every search is personally led by founder Michelle Bohannon — from kickoff through placement. Engagements are not delegated down to associate recruiters, so the person who owns the methodology is the person running your search.

We recruit across the full commercial organization: Sales (Territory Manager through Strategic Account Manager), Sales Leadership (Regional Sales Manager through VP of Sales), Clinical & Therapy Development, Marketing (Product Manager through VP of Marketing), and Commercial & Executive Leadership (Commercial Director through Chief Commercial Officer). Fractional sales and marketing leaders are also available.

How the process works

Every search follows the same five-stage methodology: (1) Define Success Before Search — establishing role requirements, success criteria, and a behavioral benchmark; (2) Market Mapping & Candidate Campaign — targeted outreach to qualified professionals; (3) CarbonCore Evaluation — complete candidate profiles presented through the platform; (4) Interview Management & Candidate Selection — centralized scheduling, feedback, and comparison; (5) Offer & Integration — support through acceptance and transition.

We assess candidates across three dimensions. Appear To: resume, experience, credentials, and interview performance. Can Do: skills, competencies, achievements, and ability to perform the role. Will Do: motivation, behavioral fit, work style, and likelihood of succeeding within your specific environment. Most firms stop at the first two — the third is where hiring decisions are usually won or lost.

We don’t rely on job postings. Using the hiring benchmark from Stage 1, we build targeted outreach campaigns designed to identify and engage high-value candidates — many of whom are not actively looking but are open to the right opportunity.

Timelines vary with role seniority and market conditions, but the staged methodology is designed to keep momentum: alignment and role definition up front, a qualified candidate pool before formal evaluation begins, and structured interview management so decisions don’t stall. We’ll give you a realistic timeline for your specific role during the strategy call.

Stage 5 covers offer process support, candidate communication, acceptance management, and transition coordination. Our goal is to maintain alignment, reduce friction, and help secure a successful start — not just a signed offer.
